Privacy Policy

We only collect information you give us yourself, voluntarily:

• Newsletter (ZAAR Notes): your email address (required) and, if you choose to share it, your name.
• Contact form: this form opens your own email application directly. What you type into it (name, email, phone, subject, message) goes straight from your device to our inbox — it never passes through or is stored on our servers.
• Booking a consultation: the “Book a consultation” button takes you to Cal.com, an independent service. Cal.com collects whatever it needs to book the meeting directly, under its own privacy policy.

Your email address (and name, if provided) is used only to send you ZAAR Notes and manage your subscription. Information received by email after you use the contact form is used only to reply to you.

Your newsletter signup is sent to our newsletter provider (Buttondown or Mailchimp), which hosts it on our behalf. If you sign up through the main form, your IP address may also be shared with that provider, solely to help it flag fraudulent signups.

Buttondown and Mailchimp are based in the United States, so your email address is transferred outside Quebec. In accordance with Law 25, a privacy impact assessment was carried out before this transfer and confirmed your information receives adequate protection.

We never sell or rent your information to anyone.

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and, on the Contact page, a map from OpenFreeMap. As with most websites, loading these automatically sends your IP address to those providers; we don't share anything else about you with them.

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many visits pages get. This tool uses no cookies or local storage and collects or retains no personal information (including your IP address): the statistics are fully aggregated and anonymous. This site uses no tracking cookies or advertising tools.

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to ZAAR Notes; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Information received by email through the contact form is kept under our normal email-management practices and deleted once it's no longer needed.

You can ask us at any time to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct it if it's inaccurate;
• delete it;
• withdraw your consent — for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter.
